Hip-hop is the new kid on the block in the Lapa, the melting pot and focal point of Rio's vibrant music scene and known for its lively cultural life since the 1950s. In recent times this historic area of Rio, has become a traditional and bohemian retreat for the city’s various manifestations of popular culture. Against this backdrop, directors Borges and Domingos delve into the multi-faceted cultural and musical revival of the district and the people who make it unique.
Vinyl wars: the battle
Is there anybody out there to overcome DJ Black Jahmanta? Hip-hop wars, ghetto style, is portrayed in funky stop-motion animation.
