Pop singer Orfeu has it all – fame, a stunning fiancé and to top it off he is crowned King of the Carnival. But then along comes the beautiful and aloof Eurydice - who just moved to Rio from the Amazon - and his fairytale life comes shattering down around him. An update of the 1959 classic film Black Orpheus (directed by Marcel Camus), ORFEU is a modern telling of the tragic myth of Orpheus relived in the shantytowns of Rio de Janeiro during the colours and craziness of Carnival.
